We absolutely loved our stay at @APlaceintheCatskills, a very inviting and comfortable home providing us with the opportunity to connect with nature! The location is perfect- close to several charming towns along the Delaware and great restaurants, but rural enough to offer a relaxing break from the city. There were several beautiful hiking trails in the area that we really enjoyed.  The house is modern, well decorated and super cozy, and gets so much light! The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully stocked.   Melinda and Matilda were very thoughtful and responsive. We hope to return in the spring!
We stayed here back in October and loved it so decided to come back - and wow, did we pick the perfect weekend! It was a winter wonderland, right out of a storybook! We spent a lovely afternoon skiing at Masthope Mountain in PA, it was a quick drive from the house. The rest of the time we stayed in, made a delicious stew in the slow cooker and lounged on the incredibly comfy couch. The house is sparkling clean and so homey. We hope to come back again soon!
We had a delightful stay at Melinda and Matilda's place. The house is beautiful with lots of light and thoughtful touches (like little candle lights, bathrobes for guests to use, and games and crayons for kids). Everything was new and sparkling clean! It is close to many great hiking trails. Our kids were thrilled to make s'mores at the fire pit in the back yard! We would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again!
The place was beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, clean, we needed nothing. Loved the bright open living space, plenty of sun light. We love to cook and the kitchen had everything ( were amazed by the Induction stove top, first time using!). Loved that things were labeled, so many directions, we could really relax. We took advantage of the guide and visited Tusten Mountain, Shohola Falls, had lunch in Narrowbridge, so many cute towns and so much to take in. We are hikers and spent the day at the Neversink Unique area, 11 mile hike with many falls, highly recommend! House was easy to get to, neighbors are close but we didn’t see them much. Would love to come back in spring when the rhododendrons are blooming on the Neversink Trail. Thank you Melinda & Matilda for creating a welcoming, cozy, bright and happy space to relax and recharge!
This was the best trip my fiancé and I have ever had. Not only are the hosts SO kind, quick and helpful, the place was INCREDIBLE. Everything was clean, organized and they think of everything! We followed many of the hiking, sightseeing and restaurant suggestions in the guidebook and they all exceeded expectations. We were genuinely sad to leave the place.
